We went out to see the effects of Fay on the neighborhood. Where it was a tropical storm, not a hurricane, we didn't have much damage (hooray for that)! Tallahassee seems always able to be in the right place to avoid the hurricanes.
There were a handful of trees down and lots of branches. Some power lines had been knocked down, but Tallahassee does a great job of getting them fixed quickly (though our friends Nate and Mindi have been without power for a day!! Sorry guys!). The real crazy thing though is all the water. It was white water rapids at the bottom of the neighborhood when we drove by...see the video. There was also a river going across Meridian...a main road nearby. It was crazy!
All in all, though, the rain is fantastic for the area. It should really be helpful.
We continue to get rain, we'll see how much this storm brings...

So, Bryan and I sat in marvel the other day, in complete disbelief of everything you've done this summer. Holy cow, Talbots! Simmer down now! :) We miss you!
