Another happy circumstance is that I was able to get a flight with a layover in PHOENIX!! Yay! The Talbots were so sweet - they came and picked me up from the airport and took me to an In-n-Out hamburger joint. It was sooo fun seeing them and soooooo depressing leaving them. I totally felt cheated by having such limited time, but seeing them was a bonus, so I have to count my blessings! They are so fun!
Looking sad bc Mr. T wasn't there
Cute Anistyn
Cute Ayden
Cute Cambrie
Getting the hair done was a morning ritual
Here we are with Nicole's family at the big graduation!! The Brimleys also invited us over for Easter dinner - it was delicious and so fun to hang out with them!
One good lookin' couple...next year is Garrett's turn!
Finally I got a real smile out of Nicole! Weeeeee....
We sure pack a lot in a weekend...it was also Easter. The girls participated in the church breakfast and egg hunt....
...And Popi's famous egg hunt. Lucky for us, Popi also organized an adult egg hunt!! Yay for money eggs and the crazy $100 Bonus round that accompanies the big reveal.
I just love this picture of Cambrie. She looks so pretty.
Anistyn could hardly contain her excitement, and I could barely capture it!
Ayden seemed contented by the previous egg hunt. This time around, she picked up an egg, bent over to pick up another and dumped out the previous egg, and then proceeded to pick up the first egg again...repeat steps 1-3. I blame a faulty Easter basket design. Of course, once she discovered the candy inside, and all bets were off.
About this moment on Easter, my camera battery died (how could I forget the cord!?!). I managed to get two more shots in or the day I left when Garrett and the parentals snuck away to a favorite Japanese restaurant with me (Yamatos). I was so impressed with the girls for trying new foods. They could NOT get enough Miso soup and enjoyed the tempura, and dumplings as well. They also put a lot of effort into those chop sticks. Cambrie demonstrated some promise as a future Rock Band pro, and Anistyn actually really got the hang of it. The bottom picture isn't the best, but it shows Anistyn showing off her new skills.
It was such a great weekend! I sure do miss living near the family and I look forward to the next Barber adventure!
