No sour grapes here

Surfing craigslist the other day I came across a vineyard that sells "u pick" grapes by the pound, and vines to take home to grow your own grapes.  The Hubster's family has grapevines and so I thought - excellent! We're doing this.

So - we took a family field trip to the vineyard.  The owner was so cool and only slightly offended when I told him we don't drink wine.  He gave us a wonderful tour of the vineyard, refused to charge us for the grapes, and even gave us a second plant free after we purchased the first vine.  It was such a fun day.

Avery loved picking off the grapes...and stuffing them right into her mouth.  Apart from the food, her personal highlight was seeing the two dogs on the property.  She'd point and squeal "Buh buh" (puppy in Avery speak).  She was elated when we turned the corner and saw a horse: "Oh! BUH BUH! BUH BUH!"  Ooops...guess I've got to teach her a few more animals.  :)

Here are some cute pics.  Wish me luck on keeping either of the grape vines alive!  Fingers crossed!
