After a long but rewarding week at work I came home to face the struggle the weekend always brings: do I tackle my "things I want to do" list or my "things I should do" list. The second list includes exciting items like clean the bathroom, shop for a dehumidifier, go through my closet and actually get rid of clothes I hang onto even though I NEVER wear them, and change the windshield wiper blades. It's the kind of stuff you don't exactly mention to your friends when they ask "so, what did you do this weekend?"

I think my want list won.

Friday night after I got home from work Mr. T and I drove through McDonald's and got 50 (yes, FIFTY) chicken McNuggets for $10 (I knew I liked the Superbowl...delicious!). Then we went over to Logan and Patrick's to watch Ayden so they could go out for Patrick's birthday celebration. We LOVE watching Ayden. She brightens our day. We enjoyed playing with her until her bedtime then finished our Lost marathon while it poured outside. I love the rain. When Lo and Patrick got back we shared an ice cream cake from DQ and visited. I love being with the Reillys. Patrick cracks me up!! And Logan is just so smart and cool and fun to be with. I love my sister.

Saturday was a gorgeous day!! I felt like throwing on a dress, running up the nearest grassy knoll, throwing my arms out, and singing a song. Oh what a beautiful morning! The breeze was rustling the palm leaves, the birds were chatting, and the sky was blue as ever.

I met Lo at the mall. On the way I was stopped so the buses transporting the Indianapolis Colts' family members could drive by in their caravan. How fun! Upon arriving at the mall, I self-elected myself for "What Not to Wear" only my host was Logan Reilly and when you self-elect, you have to foot the bill. Bummer. But Lo taught me some tricks of the trade and I picked out two new outfits...and they're cute! Yay! You CAN teach old dogs new tricks. We had a great day looking around the stores for outfits, baby clothes, and future home decor ideas.

The only downer the whole day was realizing I was looking for new decorations to fill Logan's condo when she and Patrick move away and Mr. T and I move in.

What will I do when my sister doesn't live around the corner? My boring to-do list? Sigh.
