The greatest gift somebody can give is time.
It's a precious commodity. There never seems to be enough. You can't buy it, make it, or save it. That's why I so appreciate Mr. T. Time is especially precious to a med student. And despite the never-ending test schedule, Mr. T always finds time for me.
Whether it's adjusting his morning routine by 10 minutes to squeeze in a little more time together or taking off an entire evening from studying to go on a date, I recognize the sacrifice and try to cherish the moment.
This weekend Mr. T went above and beyond again. Friday we spent the evening BBQ-ing with our med-school friends at Megan and Darek's home. It was so fun to visit and enjoy each other's company...and cooking skills!! Man...can all the wives cook or what!?!
Saturday, Mr. T and I met Megan and Ellie (Megan's baby girl) at the Community Fest. It was a really fun event held on NOVA campus. We had a blast...especially because it was all FREE! The food was fantastic and never ending. Mr. T particularly enjoyed the smoothies and I loved the Maggie Moos ice cream...yumm! Megan spotted a group of artists drawing caricatures...also free...so we all got ours done. They are so funny! Other than Mr. T's bizarro eye, I think they are pretty perfect. Ellie looked like a precious moments doll in her picture. She's such a cutie! We had such a great time all hanging out together and I learned that Megan loves a freebie just as much as I do (and has the Wal-greens bag to prove it). I knew I liked her! ;)
Here's another highlight of the festival. Next year, I'm going down it!

And finally, Monday night Mr. T and I babysat Joe and Jenessa's girls. We were excited to have them over. Yes-my perfect husband was excited, too. Mr. T made the girls dinner while I was driving home from work. After we ate, we went to the pond to feed the ducks. The girls were so cute!! Those ducks were pigs!! I couldn't believe how crazy they were, but I think the girls enjoyed it. It was a great night and the whole time I was thinking about what a great man I married.
So thanks for your time my love. It's the best Valentine gift you could ever get me and I don't mind at all if you get me the same thing every year.
