Well, a lottery anyways. NOVA held the lottery for medical school rotations. It determines where you'll spend the next two years and had the potential to uproot us from Davie and send us packing! I'd already prepared my argument for NOVA's administration because I work here, etc. but didn't even have to use it.
Out of 203 students vying for 12 locations, Mr. T was selected #16 of the bunch and was able to get his #1 pick!!! He'll be rotating in the Memorial Healthcare Chain, not 7 miles from where we live! The group has a great reputation, and the rotations are rumored to be a nice combination of meaningful experience and quality of life!! Yay - I'll get to see my husband during the next two years!
Of Mr. T's group 2 of the 3 got their #1 picks, and the 3rd family got their #2 choice - Ft. Myers - and they seem pretty happy with that, though I'm sad they will be moving away because they are dear friends to us.
Everybody seems happy though, and Mr. T is thrilled with his results which makes me very happy. But now we move to the next challenge - BOARD STUDY!!!! Eeek!

As far as other matters go, January was a blur with work travel and trainings. February looks to be the same. Mr. T is busy, busy with school. I'm so grateful for the great group of friends we have here and the support we can be to each other. Two weeks ago the Robisons spoiled us with a dinner of tempura veggies and teriyaki chicken...YUMMMM! And last weekend we met at the Egglestons to celebrate the super bowl (or at least that's our excuse). We've been very blessed in our friends and also with school.
I also got called into Primary (secretary), so I'm trying to sort out how to best help in that capacity and so enjoy working with the kids! I have sharing time his Sunday...fingers crossed that goes well!

When I first started reading I was like What? Nova held a lottery and you won? Why didn't I know about it? LOL But seriously, glad you got Memorial. We'll miss you so plan a visit to SW Florida and hopefully we'll get back here, too. You two are the best!
